My daughter had just celebrated her eighth birthday. The house was filled with laughter, balloons, and the smell of cake. We had invited family and friends; the children were running around, the adults were chatting, and I was simply happy \u2014 everything had gone perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the guests left, my husband walked the last ones out, and only my daughter, my mother-in-law, and I stayed in the room.
My little girl was happily going through her presents \u2014 a doll, a stuffed bunny, a drawing set. Her eyes sparkled with joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
